About Mrs. Hunt
I grew up in Venice, Florida, and attended all local schools. I have a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, a Bachelors of Arts in History, and a Masters in Education all from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). I started teaching at SLA in 2006 and have been fortunate to see our amazing school grow over the years. I am certified in Middle Grades Integrated 5-9, Mathematics 6-12, and Social Sciences 6-12. I also have my Gifted and ESE endorsements. I have taught Language Arts, History, and Math, all at SLA.
I am very excited to be teaching math again at SLA. I have an amazing husband (who also graduated from UF) and three energetic and loving children. I enjoy Gator sports, traveling, reading, competing in just about anything, and the occasional nap. My goal in teaching is promote a growth mindset and that every mistake leads us down a new path.
